Salty Dawg Homestead

Welcome to Salty Dawg Homestead, where we're growing more than food. We're growing a better way of life! I'm Daniel, a retired Marine and Army veteran who found renewed purpose in the garden. From my Georgia homestead (Zone 8b), I share practical tips on growing your own food, raised bed gardening, seed starting, fruit trees, and backyard homesteading. Whether you're planting your first seed, creating the garden you've always dreamed of, or building a more self-reliant lifestyle, you're welcome here. You don't need acres of land or years of experience—just a willingness to learn and grow. For me, gardening is about more than the harvest. It's about patience, perseverance, peace, and finding purpose in the simple things. It's never too late to plant something new or create a life you love. Subscribe and join us as we grow food, grow stronger, and grow together—one seed at a time.
