Privacy Policy
Effective Date: June 2026
Babbl Labs, Inc. (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates two product lines under the unified Babbl Labs brand at babbl-labs.com:
- YTSponsorDB: an AI-powered creator partnerships agent that helps brands, agencies, and influencer marketers discover and evaluate YouTube creators for sponsorship campaigns. Delivered via a self-serve web application and an MCP plug-in for Claude and ChatGPT.
- Babbl Labs Data Infrastructure: structured YouTube data products (Tripwire, TranscriptDB, SponsorDB, Livewire) sold to institutional clients including hedge funds, research firms, PR/communications platforms, and AI laboratories.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information across both product lines. It applies to all visitors to babbl-labs.com, registered users of our self-serve products, enterprise clients, and individuals whose publicly available content is processed by our data pipeline.
In this Policy, “personal information” includes any information that identifies, relates to, describes, or is reasonably capable of being associated with a particular individual, including terms such as “personal data” and “personally identifiable information” as used under applicable privacy laws.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information in two ways: (a) directly from individuals who use our website or products, and (b) from publicly available sources as part of our data processing pipeline.
Information You Provide Directly
When you create an account, subscribe to a plan, or contact us, we may collect:
- Account registration data: name, email address, company name, and password.
- Billing and payment information: payment card details or other payment data, processed by our third-party payment processor. We do not store raw card numbers on our systems.
- Profile and campaign data: information you provide when configuring a search or campaign, such as brand name, target creator categories, and competitor references.
- Communications: messages you send us via email or support channels.
Information Collected Automatically
When you visit babbl-labs.com or use our web application or MCP plug-in, we automatically collect:
- Usage data: pages visited, features used, search queries submitted, credits consumed, and actions taken within the product.
- Device and browser information: IP address, browser type, operating system, and referring URL.
- Cookies and similar technologies: session identifiers and preference cookies. See the Cookies section for details.
- Query data: when you use the YTSponsorDB MCP plug-in via Claude or ChatGPT, the queries you submit and the results returned are processed through our systems. Note that Anthropic (Claude) and OpenAI (ChatGPT) are independent platforms with their own privacy policies; we are not responsible for how they handle data on their end.
Publicly Available Content We Process
Our data pipeline ingests and processes information that content creators have voluntarily made publicly available on YouTube and, as our products expand, other platforms including X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram. This includes:
- Public video content, transcripts, and metadata openly accessible to any internet user.
- Public channel information: channel names, usernames, subscriber counts, engagement metrics, and other information creators have chosen to publish.
- Publicly visible sponsorship and brand partnership signals extracted from video content.
- Creator contact information: where publicly listed (e.g., on a channel’s About page or publicly visible social profiles). When our product delivers a validated email address or social handle as a result to a subscribing user, that contact information is sourced from publicly accessible sources. Individuals may exercise rights over this information as described in the Your Rights section.
We do not access private, restricted, or authenticated-only content on any platform.
2. Legal Basis for Processing
We process personal information on the following legal bases:
- Legitimate interest: processing publicly available creator and content data to provide market intelligence and creator discovery services.
- Contractual necessity: processing account, billing, and usage data to deliver the services you have subscribed to.
- Consent: where required by applicable law, such as for non-essential cookies.
- Legal obligation: where processing is required to meet compliance, financial, or regulatory obligations.
We process all data in compliance with the Terms of Service of the platforms from which we source public content, including YouTube’s Terms of Service and API Terms of Service.
